# Usage and billing

> Understand usage limits, monitor consumption, and manage the subscription.

## Usage limits

Usage budgets run over three window types — **Rolling 5h**, **Weekly**, and **Monthly** — and a workspace can carry any combination of them. A budget is either company-wide or assigned to a specific user. Usage is always shown as a **percentage of the limit**, never as a currency amount.

- The **sidebar indicator** (labeled "Usage") shows your highest current

percentage across all windows; it turns amber at 80% and red over the limit. Click it to open the Usage page. The indicator only appears when at least one budget is configured.

- The **Usage page** ("Current usage against your workspace limits.") shows

one meter per window — labeled Rolling 5h, Weekly, or Monthly — with the percentage and when it resets.

- When a limit is hit, Chat replies with a **Usage limit reached** notice

that shows the reset time and includes a **View usage details** link to the Usage page. Workflow runs fail with a usage-limit error message instead. Either a per-user or a company-wide budget can trigger it.

## Company-wide usage

> Who can do this: Cost Admins.

Cost Admins see a **Company Usage** section ("Per-user usage across your workspace.") below the personal meters on the Usage page. It's a table with one row per user and one percentage column per budget window. Users are identified by their user ID, not by name or email. If there's no data yet, the section shows "No user usage data available."

## Billing

> Who can do this: Payment Admins.

Billing runs through a secure external payment partner:

- During onboarding, the **Set Up Billing** step ("Complete your subscription

setup to activate your account.") is shown to Payment Admins. Clicking **Set Up Billing** redirects you to the payment partner's checkout; after payment you're returned automatically and the app verifies the subscription before continuing. If you cancel, you'll see "Checkout was cancelled. You can try again when ready." If billing is already active, the step shows **Billing Active** with a **Continue** button.

## Good to know

- No budgets configured means no meters — the Usage page says "No usage

limits are configured for your workspace." and nothing is limited. The sidebar Usage indicator is hidden entirely in this state.

- Limits reset on their window schedule automatically; there's nothing to

clear manually.
