# Message actions

> Copy answers, share links to them, save them to the Library, and handle approvals and notices.

Hover over an assistant response to reveal its action bar — a row of icon buttons below the answer (underneath its sources row, when the answer cites sources). On touch devices the row is always visible, and a **⋯** (Message actions) button offers the same actions in a menu.

## Copy and share

- **Copy** — puts the full answer on your clipboard and shows a **Copied**

toast. It copies the answer's markdown source (including `**` and heading markers), not the rendered text.

- **Copy link** — copies a link straight to that message and shows a

**Link copied** toast. Opening the link takes you back to that exact answer, scrolled and highlighted — handy for bookmarking. Conversations are private to you, so the link won't work for anyone else.

## Save an answer to the Library

> Who can do this: users with the markdown editor role.

1. Click **Save to Library** in the action bar. A **Save response to Library** dialog opens with a suggested title you can edit. The full response is saved as the document body. 2. Click **Save**. A **Saved to Library** toast appears with an **Open ↗** action — click it to open the draft in a new tab, where you can edit and publish it. See [Markdown documents](/docs/library/markdown-documents).

## Tool approvals

If the assistant wants to use a tool that needs your sign-off, an approval card appears with **Approve** and **Deny** buttons. Approving continues the answer with the tool; denying makes Ocho answer without it.

## Notices you may see

- **Usage limit reached** — your workspace or your own account hit its usage

budget (limits can be set at both levels); the notice shows when the limit resets and includes a **View usage details** link to the Usage page.

- **No relevant sources found in your documents.** — document search ran but

found nothing confident enough to cite.

- **Couldn't search your documents right now — answered without them. Try

again in a moment.** — search failed, so the answer was written without document context.

- **Response reached the length limit and was cut off — ask a follow-up to

continue.** — the answer hit the length limit; asking a follow-up continues it.

- **stopped** — a small badge shown when you stopped the response early.

## Good to know

- **Copy** copies markdown, so pasted text keeps formatting markers like

`**bold**` — paste into a markdown-aware editor for best results.

- The **stopped** badge only lasts for your current session. After a reload

it disappears, and a response you stopped before any text arrived may show up as a full completed answer.

- Opening a copied message link scrolls to the message and flashes a

highlight on it; the link itself keeps working for the whole conversation.

- The "no relevant sources" notice doesn't appear on every unanswerable

question — sometimes the answer itself just says your documents don't cover the topic.
